Prayer for my ex-wife and her children
My ex-wife contacted me last weekend telling me she has quit the church and moved away from one of the best churches in our movement and remarried to a sinner. She blames me for all of this despite not speaking to me for nearly 2 years.
The man she reportedly fell into sin with and remarried is her ex-husband who just got out of prison (drugs), so there are biblical ramifications in addition to the mess she is dragging the kids into. Although they are not my biological children, I was like a father to them for 4 years.
All I can think is that there is a chemical imballance in her brain. She was a meth user as a teen and I have read the long-term damage it does to the brain...thus the reasons for her filing for divorce last year. She had hurt me and my kids and her own and when turned in for abuse, she cut and ran, lied to the church and then after sitting in the church for a almost 2 years without repenting, she fell into gross sin.
Her pastor would not talk to me for nearly that entire time. He took her side, refusing to hear the issues involved, because she played the "battered" spouse game to a T. The courts saw through it and ruled in my favor, stating that she was the abuser in the relationship, so she retaliated with further allegations after the hearing.
Regardless if she ever comes back to God, her kids are precious and 3 of them have been baptized and 2 have received the Holy Ghost. Her pastor has been hurt very deeply by her up and running off so abruptly, throwing out nearly 4 years of labor, love and support we have instilled in her. Despite our arguments the past few years, he is still my favorite minister of all time, and I love him to death.
Please lift them up in prayer.
