He's My Hero

He is My Hero

No one here knows him..............He is a great guy.

You would like him, if you really knew him.

He would do anything he could to help someone.

He's a great friend to all, and has a heart of gold.

He lost his dad at 2 yrs of age, and never had a role model, life was hard on the streets.

He would have been the least likely to ever live for God, (in some minds), but the Lord brought him to a place, under unusual circumstances.

He heard about the Lord, and kept going back to hear more.

He came in to this great truth, and I met him some years later.

We have experienced life, (as we all do) and we have seen God's great hand work many miracles.

If you saw him, you might think he looks a little tough.

You would see those tattoo's, that he used to be ashamed of, but are now a reminder of where God brought him from.

He is a caring person, and is always ready to listen to someones troubles.

He's there for the soldiers that need to talk.

They know they can trust him, and they see he lives a Christian life, and they hear him pray.

He is a hard worker, a good provider.

I have seen him work 12- 14 hour shifts, 7 days straight, (month after month).

He's a great dad to both of our children.

He great with the 14 yr old, and everyone knows how those teenage years can be.

He remembers his life as a teenage boy without a dad.

He's so proud of our son.

He's proud that our son lives for God, and that he plays an awesome bass, and that he reads the Word of God faithfully.
He proud that he is a tall young man, with beautiful red hair....well he is just a proud dad.

He's wonderful with the baby, very kind, soft and caring....well she is the baby..you know, 5 yrs old can still be the baby.......I believe we will feel the same 10 years from now.....she's still a baby.

He's proud that she is a fiery little redhead, so full of spunk and energy.

He's a good man, (did I mention that).

He volunteered to go to Iraq, and actually went with another unit, in a different part of the state.

He does not regret going to Iraq, he only regrets time away from us.

He calls as often as he can, so I will not worry as much.

I can hear the relief in his voice when he talks to the children, as they keep him updated on what is going on in their lives.

He sounds so happy when he talks to them.....you see, he was afraid that he might not come back, and he so wants to hold the grandchildren, when they arrive.

I have heard the pain in his voice.....he didn't know I heard it...but I know him so well.

When he calls and the children are asleep, he will say, "tell the kids I love them, and I miss them".

The pain comes through his voice, when he tells me this over and over, as if he's afraid I will forget.

I hear him say over and over, I really miss you, and I love you so.

You see we are good friends, actually he is my best friend, and I am his.

At times he tells me, I have always loved you, and I will always love you.

This man is strong.

He is strong in God.

He is a good man, and I am blessed to be married to him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest, I really needed to tell someone about my husband, and what a great person he is.

I have written this with tears rolling down my cheeks, thinking about how blessed we are to have such a great guy in our lives.

In love, and blessings to all.

Oh what a wonderful blessing you are to let us see your heart and his. And I consider it a great honor. Thank him for serving our country for me. And you and your family are serving as well. What a great tribute for a man of God.

Thank you for your kind words.

When I spoke to my husband tonight, his thoughts were on the Lord, and His goodness.

He told me at times when he was in his "room" , and his mind was troubled about things around him, he just grabbed onto his Bible, and held it as tight as he could.

I reminded him of Sis McGruder, at one of her darkest times in sickness, how she said she "literally" stood on her Bible, and told God I am standing on your
Word.

God is so good to us, so very kind, and gracious.

What a great husband yes you are super-blessed! So is this country to have such a man over there, the LORD has His arms around him and ya'll, too.

Reading those words before you said it was him, I thought of my own husband, lol
very similar., 'cept for the military part, & other details.
A marriage with such LOVE is a mighty testimony to anyone in proximity!
THANK YOU JESUS!

He's My Friend,

Thank you so much for sharing from your heart. Your post brought tears to my eyes. Please tell your husband we appreciate what he is doing to keep America safe. I so much admire all our military men and women who are there because they "chose" to go. I also appreciate YOUR sacrifice - and that of your children. May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams and imaginations! I pray the Prince of Peace surround your home and family with the peace that only HE can give - and may His angels encamp round about all of you. I pray a special hedge of protection around your husband!

I too have been blessed with a husband that is my best friend. I really can't even begin to imagine how hard this time must be for you. I don't know you - but I love you!!

May Jesus be especially real and near to you during this holiday season!

Sweet Pea
