Forum was down because I hate my ISP

I needed to run two utilities. This would take about 5 mins and I started at 11:20. My ISP went down as I started. I call customer disservice and it came back up while we talked. I start the utility again, and again no connection. Second call to Disservice and I get the SAME CSR (Texasnot Bombay is the only postitive thing I can say about Customer Disservice with this ISP).

"I am down AGAIN!"
"I see They are working in your area"
"Why did you not tell me that 25 minutes ago?"
"They must have updated it after we spoke"

I have to sleep sometimes..... I am also going back to DSL.
I have only run one of two so later tonight will try again.


If you have itching, twitching or are sweaty over the forums down, perhaps the mini-break was not a bad thing.

Thanks for posting. Not much twitching or sweating going on. And I mistyped an r there for that t..not much swearing going on either. lol

It was *just* up enough to show me I had private messages though. That was horribly cruel of it. But I'm over it now.

Im going with cable here....it's the only solution. The DSL in this area is 1.5 Mbps tapped out. No FIOS...I was disappointed as I was looking forward to 15mbps Fios...my DSL before with the same company was 3mbps...still not enough to share 3 ways but far better than 1.5....I might have even taken it too.

So we are going with cable and I am hoping for 4-5 unless I can get better.

Interesting fact...my neighbors somewhere have an open node wireless network and the router must have a long range because in our house it's about 50-70 percent strong lol....yeah but it's still illegal to us someone elses service like that...awwwwww
