Re: Anthony Mangun on TBN 2/15/18
The Tabernacle is still relevant to us today, and we use it all the time as types and shadows. - blood, water, and Spirit
- blood of Jesus, water from Jesus' side, Veil Rent
- death, burial, resurrection
- Repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost
- blood on the door posts, crossing the red sea, cloud and pillar of fire
- Brazen Altar, Laver of Water, Holy Place
Prayer also can be typified by the tabernacle. - we die daily in repentance
- we wash with the water of the word
- we read the bread of the word
- we offer prayers and worship to God as incense
- we enter the holy place and the presence of God.
I don't think using the tabernacle as a prayer plan is what people are really objecting to.
I'm guessing what is rubbing people the wrong way is that Bro Mangun is on TV with backslidden apostolics?
I trust Bro Mangun's motives and believe his intention is to influence people in the right direction.

Are we not already in the holy place before we even pray?

yes of course, but don't you think we still have an approach to God? Or do you think we can be all carnal and worldly when we approach God in prayer? I can tell I huge difference in my spirit when I'm reading the word, repenting and fasting. God does not change, but we can.

That's a unrenewed mind vs a renewed mind thing. So are you saying tour mind needs to enter the holy place?
So praying the tabernacle is basically getting our minds renewed to be in the holy place?

It doesn't mean how you're using it.. It means he faced death like a soldier in combat would. We are dead already through the work of Christ.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3 KJV

For you are what?

I’m on the internet so me pointing a finger at someone on television is redundant. Also I think Tony still considers me a friend. But we haven’t spoken in years for some unknown reason to me. Also Elder Mangun has made his position clear on television programming. So, me or anyone else having an issue with him being on television would be a day late and a dollar short.
