We'd need an Amendment to the Constitution first. If we don't get that, we'll be stuck with a national sales tax on top of a national income tax. Honestly, I think the fair tax effort is just a slippery strategy to get a national sales tax in place, knowing the Amendment process will fail and we'll be stuck with more taxation.

I truly grasp Jefferson's concerns. However, it is 2016. We're already falling behind in nearly every category accept the number of people who believe in Big Foot, angels, and UFOs. We need to move into the 21st century.

Please explain how living in the 21st century negates Jefferson's concerns?
