As long as you oil it up and keep loose.

Funny, I used to hate losing to weekend warrior teams. I used to call them..."Honey go get my glove from the garage" players...

Please pray for me.

Tonight I am playing my second game in a softball league. After the last game I felt old and worn out. Who would have thought softball would require being in shape? I have a few specific requests:

1. Pray I actually hit the ball out of the infield tonight.
2. Pray our team performs better than the first game (sheesh!).
3. Pray that I can make it to second base if I actually hit the ball in the gap.

Pray church, pray!
we have 2 teams this year. team 1 are the best in the leauge. always have been. they are the ORGINAL PLAYERS.....range from 52 (actually a great player) on down to 25 years old. softball is fun! hope you do good!!!! i will pray for errors for you to make an in the park homer-run!!!

I have 4 bats that when I bought them new were almost $200 each. Now they are beat up pretty good and almost useless in a competition sense. For a church game they are still pretty good.

I could tell you some hilarious stories about the "church" league team that Marvin Poole started going for us when he was here.
Well, what's wrong with you man!? Go ahead and tell 'em.

You are the first person who has agreed to pray for my success! Hey, you are a-okay even if you are a Cubs fan.

I oiled it, put a softball in it, and tied a string around it.

Seems to be pretty pliable now.

Put it in a ziplock (not zipped) along with a cup of water into the microwave for about 40-50 seconds or test it until the bugger is too hot to hold, but DON'T Burn it. It will open the pores of the glove so it can better absorb the oil.

I used to throw my catcher's glove into a bucket of water for a few minutes then do the exact same thing above.

We had three board members on our team, one of which was a former baseball player and hockey player, and also a successful business man.

They guy was over the top. He took out the other team's catcher one time on a play at home and the guy rolled over crying, "I think he ruptured my spleen!" It was hilarious!

He is the one who caused me to vow to never ever play co-ed again. He threw a bullet to this little gal playing second base one time, it hit her in the palm smack!, she dropped her glove, looked out toward him and just started crying. I got pretty mad.

One time two teams got into a fight (they were surely baptists ) and this fella and his brother got into the mix and started throwing blows...I just walked out on the field and watched the whole thing.

We used to have these ridiculous prayers before we played "OOOH JESUSSS...heelo mo hyah!!!!" Then go out and act like a bunch of idiots.

Not one single person came up to any of our skirts sitting in the stands to say they wanted to go to our church.

So you are the reason for the organized sports ban?!

Maybe it's a good idea after all.
