That would probably be the late 70's then...which would correspond to the KP/MH TV push...
My question though is this: Is it possible that the TV thing could pass as written--allowing the individual use of TV--on a national level but then be trumped by a District prohibition?
If so, It matters absolutley NOTHING in Oklahoma if the thing passes or not, because Oklahoma is on record as saying, "You pastor in this district, you don't get to use TV."
That is one of only about 5 resolutions actually in the OK Dist manual...under this type of category so it kindof stands out...

I wish some broght District Super....LIKE KP...would answer these questions for us:
Since OK Dist Manual states you can't use TV, does that trump any effort nationally to allow it?
Or
Does the OK Dist have to AMEND their manual if the TV thing passes?

I live in metropolitan Kansas City -- split between Missouri and Kansas. What Missouri allows will be seen by people in eastern Kansas.

I am neither "bright," NOR a District Superintendent (although I used to be the latter). So long as the District manual does not directly violate the General Constitution, there is no problem. Since the General Constitution would not mandate the usage of television, I cannot see where the OK bylaws would have to be amended.
That's just my opinion, and I'm certainly not a "scholar" on these matters. (I only served as DS for three years, and District Secretary for two years before that.)
