Not in the sense of having a glorified body that can materialize behind closed doors as Christ's did.

well, or walk on water, as Christ did pre-glorified-body, for that matter. So, i could see where that might all come down to us being limited by our conditioning, perhaps, whereas Christ would not be.

Re: will you know your loved ones in heaven

and i'll repeat that the best answer you might give someone asking the question
"will i know my loved ones in heaven?" is "who said you were going to heaven?" and "you mean your family? that you were told to (relatively) "hate" by Christ, Himself?" The question is vain. Rest assured that anyone who asks it--absent a profound change of mind--needn't be worried about such matters.

Just as Christ's natural body was glorified into a spiritual body, so too will ours be.

so what should be made of Christ's walking on water, then? Do you see it as any different from materializing behind closed doors? Don't get me wrong, there may very well be a difference; i've just always viewed them as miraculous.

I believe the difference is that Christ rose from the dead in a body that was mortally wounded. So, His resurrection body was no longer mortal. It was mortal before the cross. But now that He's risen He can no longer die.

Rom 6:9 KJV Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

That is the body with which He rose. If He no longer has such a body, it would not say He no longer can die. Something had to have died and rose again for us to read He no longer dies.

Php 3:21 KJV Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Once again, 1 Cor 15 contrasts SPIRITUAL from NATURAL, not SPIRITUAL from PHYSICAL.

hmm, ok. I thought the prevalent belief was that this was a model for us to exercise while we were alive, and that that happened at baptism for us.

Where do you get that the body after the resurrection was a glorified body? It was flesh and blood, Just because he could appear behind closed doors does not make the body any different than before his death. He was God robed in flesh and God can do anything he wants. Like walk on water.
And I do not believe a spiritual body has flesh and blood. Hence it would not be a spirit.
