Yet you still support a system that relies on employers paying for insurance? If we want everyone to have insurance, it to be cheaper than current system, and want to get rid of employer mandate, then we need single payer. But of course the tea baggers dont want that. That would do away with their billionaire insurance companies.

A single payer system would crash the economy. It would be a catastrophe.
Social Security is out of funds, we barely pay enough for Medicare and Medicaid, and you want to add every. single. american. to the bill?
Absurd!

For review and analysis...

This is the first in a multi-part series exploring the Republican Study Committee’s proposal for replacing ObamaCare.
Replacing ObamaCare: AHCRA Proposes Standard Health Deduction
Last week, the Republican Study Committee introduced a comprehensive health bill that addresses a fundamental question facing the movement to defund/repeal ObamaCare: What would you replace it with? The bill (H.R. 3121) is titled the American Health Care Reform Act of 2013 (AHCRA), and it’s loaded with solid proposals to move us from the current government-driven ObamaCare model to a market-based, consumer-driven health care framework.
Many of the concepts detailed in AHCRA have been discussed in broad generalities by Republicans for years. Now we have specific policy proposals in actual legislative form, and the good news is that there’s a lot to like. At it’s core, AHCRA is a tax reform bill that revolves around its featured legislative proposal - the Standard Deduction for Health Insurance.

This is the second in a multi-part series exploring the Republican Study Committee’s proposal for replacing ObamaCare.
Replacing ObamaCare: Republican Alternative Expands HSA Access
As we reach the climax of the CR stalemate centered around ObamaCare, the debate will eventually have to shift away from the endless evils of government-driven health care and toward the redeeming power of free-market forces. Fortunately, the Republican Study Committee recently introduced a comprehensive health care proposal titled the American Health Care Reform Act of 2013 (AHCRA). The bill, H.R. 3121, both repeals ObamaCare and offers the best set of proposals to date toward establishing a consumer-driven health care narrative for replacing ObamaCare.
Last week I addressed AHCRA’s first core principle, the Standard Deduction for Health Insurance (SDHI), which would unchain the tax advantages for purchasing health insurance from employer-sponsored coverage. This post focuses on the benefits of enhancing the health savings account (HSA) to unleash the power of the market in combating the skyrocketing costs of care.

How much of that is due to insurance companies? why do we have a middle man for our healthcare? Either move to a single payer or make it cheap enough so people can buy their own so employers do not feel the need to provide it. Insurance companies need to go. No one should profit off of someones health. But hey we have the best insurance and care in the world right?

Hilarious question in bold above. You ask why we have a middle man for our healthcare, yet you're longing for a single payer system which would make the govt the middle man. Why should the govt be involved in medical decisions between a patient and their doctor?
Insurance companies need to go? Then costs would really skyrocket! Do you have insurance? Have you looked at a claim? They pay most of the cost, in most cases 80 or 90% of the healthcare costs.
Now you'll say, well doctors, hospitals and medical device manufacturers shouldn't charge so much. But it costs for the education; for the doctors and hospital's malpractice insurance; for R&D of medical devices.
I know you may not understand this, but some things in life just aren't free. And they shouldn't be free, otherwise it will compromise the quality.

How do we lower costs? I didnt say free. I said either let us pay into via taxes (SINGLE PAYER) or make it to where its cheap enough that an employer doesnt need to bear the benefit costs. Your a supply side guy I bet. How much more would businesses benefit if they didnt have to pay for employee health insurance?

Re: The "Affordable" Care Act
By 2020 Healthcare will cost us 20% of GDP. Why? How do we change it? Or are you gonna take the GOP approach and just scream how bad something is and not give any alternative.

Your post here is truly proof that you don't read anything outside of your biased perimeters. Please see post 63, if you are able to accomplish that.

Re: The "Affordable" Care Act
Obamacare Needs a Drop-Dead Date
Nor can you really blame the Republicans -- an argument that makes sense only if you don’t examine it very closely. It starts by assuming (but never stating) that the administration passed a law that didn't work as written, and then posits a civic duty for the opposition not to oppose laws that they oppose, but instead to help the majority party turn an unworkable law into something more to said party’s liking. This is absurd. Moreover, it’s not even a very good explanation for most of these problems.

Obamacare ‘navigator’ in Kansas has outstanding arrest warrant
Wells was certified as an Obamacare navigator despite her financial history, which includes a bankruptcy in 2003, a 2007 civil charge from a local check cashing business called Midwest Checkrite for writing a bad check, being more than $1700 behind on her state tax bill, and having an outstanding arrest warrant in nearby Shawnee County. Wells lives and works in Douglass County.
