Okay, so I would assume since at least SOME of the people whom you preached to in the trinitarian church were "saints" by your own admission, would you not therefore be saying in so many words, that it is NOT necessary for someone to 1)repent 2)be baptized in Jesus name, and recieve the Holy Ghost WITH the evidence of tongues?
So really, just how much necessity do you place on Acts 2:38?

I am somewhat surprised at your welcome there as Pentecostal Holiness folks, are usually the more hardline trinitarians and most times oppose Oneness pretty stridently.

I didn't discuss doctrine with Pastor Hall beforehand, but I assume he assumes I believe like my sister, a member of his church who introduced us. She told me when she explained her belief(something to the effect of "I believe the only way I'll ever see God is to see Him in Jesus Christ") to the Pastor's wife, the first lady replied "Oh, you're a "Onesy."". So ther you have a Oneness member of Pentecostal Holiness, just like we have some (gasp!) Trinitarian members at Deeper Life. I was welcomed quite warmly, and I wasn't about to start throwing jabs to test their reflexes. I save that for AFF. Altogether they seemed rather loving and godly people, and I look forward to going back.

As much as Peter did. If someone asks me how to be saved, I'll quote Acts 2:38. Would you have a better answer than Bro. Peter?

Keep rockin' Duane. That's my advice. And maybe "archive" the things that don't quite jell with your message on Sunday.

Hypocrisy is a bit of a stout word, there, don't you think? I'm a hypocrite because I didn't get myself tossed out on my ear by being disrespectful to a man's pulpit? Dan was trying to "goad" me into another slobberknocker, and I didn't take the bait, that was all. He began trying really hard there at the end. But that's one reason why I love Dan, his tenacity.

I didn't say "you are a hypocrite." I said "we have a hypocrisy..." Putting it the way you did does make it very stout - far stouter than I intended.
It's just an "us" thing, the way I see it. And, it's apparently something that you're pushing aside and moving beyond.

I plan to reach as much of the world as I can, and I've realized that can't be done within the comfort zone of our little niche. I would also like to open up a little more dialogue between Trinitarians and Apostolics, because both sides have long held misconceptions about the other. Trinitarians don't believe in three gods and Apostolics don't believe Jesus was His own Father whose prayers were a charade. There, I said it now let's get along, or,.....
