Just Got Back From Preaching at a Trinity Church!

After being called on to deliver the message today at my home Church, (Deeper Life Church, Lancaster, OH) I had to hustle from Lancaster down to Wellston to sing and minister the Word at Pentecostal Holiness House of Prayer , a Trinitarian Pentecostal Church. And no, I didn't come out swinging with Acts 2:38. I preached the same message I had at Deeper Life, about how to light the fire of revival. The people were very welcoming and supportive, and we had a glorious time in the Lord. And yes, I'm still a three-stepper hardliner, but if we only stay within our little fishbowl, we'll soon run out of oxygen.

You had a "glorious time in the Lord"?? With trinitarians? How is that possible? You don't think they're actually saved, do you?

And how shall they preach except they be sent...

By this shall all know that you are My disciples, if you love one another
John 13: 35

Sounds like you're doing as you should.:thumbsup

It's God's place to say who is saved and who isn't, not mine. And yes, a glorious time in the Lord. NOW, did you ever see the debate between DK Bernard and Gene Cook? It was Cook who said Bernard was serving a "false Jesus" and Bernard who said they both worship the same God, but have a different understanding of His Nature. So just who is having problems thinking someone with a different doctrine is saved?

Come on! This is the kind of stuff I just posted about on page 12 of the Biblical response to Acts 2:38 thread. http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...&postcount=112

We want to say if someone hasn't spoken in tongues, their damned.

If they haven't been baptized in Jesus, their damned.

But when the rubber meets the road, when we really have the chance to set them straight on their error, to save thier soul, then "we're not to judge."

Either they are truly lost OR..................................:hmmm

No, I've never heard of Cook. I know who Bernard is...started to read one of his books once, got irritated, and never finished.

But I wasn't really asking about them. There's a kook on every corner so I'm not worried about Cook.:ursofunnyI just made myself laugh.

I've just heard you say some tough stuff on AFF about those awful trinitarians so I just wanted to check. You know, if you had a glorious time in the Lord with them, I guess there really wouldn't be a need to go after them with Acts 2:38, would there?

I know, Jason. It's a complete wimp-out. I barked about this in the "Cross-Alone-Saves" thread and finally got one person to say I was going to hell....well, sorta. He wouldn't actually come right out and say it.

And my point always is...if I'm not going to hell because I haven't spoken in tongues, they why do ya'll want me to speak in tongues?

Duane,
Maybe there is hope for you yet.
Maybe you are "looking our way."
