Second, according to his bio in his book Our God Is One:

For the record: Bro. French's mom and dad were members of the church I was raised in, and his father is still an active member there. Little Talmadge was in my mom's S.S. class.
Following his parents divorce, mom and her boys moved away, and I don't recall seeing them again.
He did NOT hear the Oneness message first through Harvestime, though that may be where he first understood it as such.

Really? The story he told us in bible college is that he heard Harvest Time as a younger man while in the car on AM Radio and he was going to a Church of God / Cleveland,TN church and thats where he first heard the message. Also that he broke away from his COG church to the heartbreak of his pastor there to go to a UPC church. I remember that vividly at a sermon where he talked about his history.

But I don't think money or even position is why Talmadge French left the WPF. He is a true believer and a zealot, I doubt he can be moved by money like that, I've seen him in real life too much for a 3 year period. Most likely he felt like the WPF was nothing but the failed power play that it turned out to be and was turned off by the ego's once the veneer of a exciting new thing wore off.

I agree about French.
I just took the tangent and went "off topic" - sorry.
What you said about those 4 pastors. Bothers me deeply. It's extremely popular. I think, in this regard, we've turned the church into a marketplace. It's time for a good Jesus whippin'...

That may be where Bro. French remembers hearing the message, but his family were members of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, Flint, MI, and the pastor was Bro. Glenn Henderson.

Re: Talmadge French Heads Home to the UPC
Any other big name defections from the World Wide Wrestling Pentecostal Fellowship Incorporated back to the UPC or vice versa? Did Reverend French's departure start any kind of trend?

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Talmadge French Heads Home to the UPC
They are losing membership quickly, and T. French leaving JG's was NOT friendly AT ALL. In fact he went straight to WH's in Raleigh. The G's and H's have long-standing animosity. It is a very well known fact in the NC district.
