Thank you, Lady Rev!!!!! I can't have another dog.
PO, sorry for your loss........I know what it's like to have a pet who's more like a member of the family!

It must be a full moon or something, because we just found out this morning (after a night of cleaning up vomit and diarrhea) that Jeff's new puppy has Parvo! She has to be kept on an IV over the weekend.
She actually started being sick on Monday, but since she had already had her first shot, I guess they weren't too worried.
*sigh*
If anything happens to this puppy (Jeff named her Chloe), Jeff will be heartbroken. I've never seen him so attached to an animal before.
Inny waze. I'm sorry about your Roscoe. I didn't want to post about our puppy on your thread, because it seemed disrespectful, but I know your puppy had Parvo too, and knew you'd understand!
Abigail,
I know you won't mind me posting this. It wouldn't have been disrespectful at all!!!
Try to get him to drink some Pedialyte. That is supposed to really help as they get very dehydrated. I don't know of anything else that will help them.
You have to be very, very timely on the Parvo shots.
Praying for the new puppy. Keep us posted here!!!
Our ground is so hard, we can't get the hole dug. The water is just sitting for hours trying to soak in. Lord!!!! THat's what happens when it doesn't rain around here!
Despite my teasing (which was influenced by that mean ole ferd ) I am very sorry for your loss. I have lost a few dogs in my life and a couple I have witnessed, those are the hard ones. It's tough, but I know you are too.
BTW, are you having a Southern Baptist funeral ? You know, with Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes and such ?

PO I am soooooooooo very sorry about your pet. I wished you could have another one as that is the best healer.
Enjoy the memories Roscoe gave and time is a great healer. I have lost pets that I had for years and its like losing a member of the family. It hurts.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you, Scotty! So funny you say that. My husband finished digging the hole, which took hours of soaking!! We had Roscoe wrapped in a pretty tablecloth and covered in the wheelbarrow.
He said, "Go and get your dog. You can be the Pallbearer." LOL!
We are having BBQ Chicken. I think that's a Catholic Funeral. LOL!
