Notice the emphasis.

How did she violate this commandment in wearing a bikini? What did she "covet?"
I know, from the sophomoric bolded text that you want to go a certain way with this, but it doesn't hold water when applied to the plaintiff. Perhaps the "mutual friend, but not the plaintiff.

I gotta admit that is frustrating... you making arguments about a story you have not read!

Matthew 5:32, clearly states that only "adultery" is suitable ground for a man to "put away his wife." I would not want to approach the throne whilst attempting to make "bikini wearing" my argument for otherwise.

I still think, because of her display, she had actions that preceded this event at the pool.

Did you read the article???? It certainly seems like the definition of "fornication" was at least STRETCHED to include Ms. Driver's offense. And then conveniently, the entire list of possibilities was shared with her specific offense withheld, letting imaginations run wild.
Stroke of genius, and an old trick.

I loved it, Stephen!!!
I still think the ex-wife had motive in her actions. I wanted to focus on her and would have regardless if I read the article or not.

The woman still was in a compromising situation. I'm not going to look past that. Sorry.

She "appears" to have been if we make certain assumptions that we have no evidence to maintain. For example, if we assume that the "bikini" thing happened at a private pool with just the woman and the "mutual friend" present. However, it may well have been a public pool with hundreds present and the two were seen in passing. Also, since everything else has been exaggerated, why must we assume that it even was a "bikini?"
And you are correct to object to the insinuations of listing the sins and saying, "... she did one of these..." That's just plain daft behavior for any public speaker.

I didn't take it that way when I read what the pastor said. I took it that he listed nine things that included fornication, teaching moment, and said she had committed one of them. If everyone's imagination was running wild, then they are just stupid. LOL!

PO, it isn't funny. It is sad at best and despicable at worst. You didn't read the article, and you slandered the woman you didnt even know as badly-or even worse-than the pastor who faced a jury. There is very much wrong with that.
