As for the outright lies, I don't know to what you are referring, but I do find it quite disturbing how things get twisted by agendas. Honest-hearted folks voted their consciences today. I don't believe for a minute they were tricked, duped, manipulated, or mean spirited. I think it is true that maybe one side or the other (or both) did their best to get like minded men there to vote for their agenda--which happens in any political setting--but I don't buy into any conspiracy ideas. I didn't want it, I am not happy it happened--but I am going to take my lumps and stick with this organization for as long as it is possible--which is hopefully, forever.
I am not glad it happened, but I didnt want to see another "delay" or "study for a year," and they should have just passed it last year--would have saved a whole lot of trouble. The only thing I can say about the "study" was that men were more settled in their thinking.
To God be the glory, may He preserve the UPC for His glory--and I am thankful that you and I are both blessed to be a part of this great organization.
