I heard that!
Anyway, I preached at a Trinity Church last night, didn't beat'em up with 3-stepper doctrine, blew the roof off the place, had a good time in the Lord, will be back, never thought the greasy gracers would come crashing down on me for fellowshipping with others of "almost" like precious faith.

I preached the same message I had at Deeper Life, about how to light the fire of revival. The people were very welcoming and supportive, and we had a glorious time in the Lord.

How does one light the fire of revival ... if one is dead in their sin ... unregenerate?
If you're dead ... you're dead. Need the New Birth to be alive ... or revive.
Seems you might have put the cart before the horse. Just thinking aloud, Duanester... exploring possibilities.

My hat's off to you. Would that more folks would have that kind of character and respect for other ministers and their pulpits. "Holinesss" it seems at times is measured by "uglyness!" Thank God you were respectful and not ugly!

Duane, just answer the simple question.
Did you preach to saints or sinners?

Re: Just Got Back From Preaching at a Trinity Chur
D Wayne - I appreciate the good report. I think a minister of the gospel should take every opportunity to minister the gospel and the gospel is a lot more than Acts 2:38.
I am somewhat surprised at your welcome there as Pentecostal Holiness folks, are usually the more hardline trinitarians and most times oppose Oneness pretty stridently.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
