You do realize that this logic works both ways. The anti TV people use unity as a weapon againist the folks who want to use it in fulfilling the great comission.

You know what the Unity is the most important thing, but there is not a heck of alot of that going on now. People are jumping ship or are being pushed out. IMO. There are some people with in certain districts which are very conservative that they feel if they do not leave then they will be forced because of the Tv issue.
Tv is not the problem. There are some people that do not like change. I bet given enough time that the some that will leave because of Tv will do easy up on the standards and these churches will grow and be blessed and people that stayed with no Tv will say that the others back slid or "left truth." But reaching at all cost....that is the issue

And surely, knowing where you are from, you don't think this is already happening?
Of course it is! I hear on a regular basis how 'ridiculous' it is to take a stand against television.
There is already those who walk in a sham of superiority that look down on us poor peons that still advise our Churches about the unwholesom apsects of television.
Wholehearted, you and I both know they don't need a 'resolution' to do that.

I believe if it passes that it won't be long and the Ban of TV will be lifted. Then after awhile you won't be allowed to preach against it at any function. And everybody that preaches against it will be labeled trouble makers.

Well now...won't this be an interesting change of events???
Isn't that EXACTLY what's been dealt to the 'liberals' who are in favor of having/using TV's for years now?
Maybe a little 'reaping/sowing' action goin' on, huh?

I think we have a better chance in Tampa, because FINALLY some of the "bigger" names that are in favor of the resoultion are talking...Anthony Mangun, Mike Williams, and others.
They never have gotten up and publicly stated that they were in favor of the resolution like they are now.
Their voices will help
