Re: Managing the younger generation is a real chal
This whole post brings to mind the challenge of not just working with the younger generation, but ministering TO them. We are dealing with a generation unlike ours. Some are liars; some never have been in a church; and if they have, they are riding on the coattails of their parents. Sad to say, there are really a small number of young folks who are REALLY saved! I mean would die for this gospel saved. So here's the challenge:
How do we effectively minister to this generation?
A generation that makes their own rules up of what's right and what's wrong? They do so because the New Age movement and secular humanism has taught them to.
How do we impart the biblical sense of good and evil and counteract the diabolical scheme and plot of the enemy to make young folks think there are no absolute evils or good. All of life is one big gray area...
Sis Craig mentions what its like to work with someone like this...but how could we witness to her and get her saved?
Just pondering...know I haven't been around in a minute....God Bless!

Well, looks like my problem employee hasn't changed.
Last week, I sent her an email to come help out in the phone room because we were short a couple ladies. She didn't respond to the email, so I called in scanning room where she works and the other employee said they hadn't seen her.
At noon, she called me from the scanning room and said she had been here since 7:30 a.m., but was in a MECCA meeting (this is an extracurricular employee resource group). I told her she wasn't suppose to be in a MECCA meeting except on her own time and she should have even requested from me to attend. She said she didn't realize she would have to do that.
So.....today, I received the access report to see when she entered the building (we have access badges) and she didn't access the building until 11:50 a.m.
She wasn't in a meeting - she wasn't even HERE! AND....there wasn't even a MECCA meeting - - no one was here because of it being a day before a holiday.
Why, why, why does she think she can lie like this without getting caught.
This is grounds for dismissal.

LOL!
Actually, I had a project going on both counters and he couldn't get to it this morning. I suspect he wanted to listen to Jim Rome and take a nap until I cleaned up my mess. Just about done with that!
