would like to hear from you.
I don't "believe" in entertainment. I believe in Jesus.
I have an understanding about entertainment though (not to be confused with diversity in views about faith). Instead of summarizing a position, I will cite a portion of what someone else said recently on a blog I enjoy:

As you might imagine, there are any number of complexities to all of the above. Actors and actresses have to wrestle with roles that depict less-than-Christian character. Writers tell stories about what’s happening in the human heart. The list goes on and on.
Quoting Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jennings said, “‘Art deals with the micro to explain the macro.’ Often times, the micro we’re looking at is sin.” When artists tell stories, they talk about the dark side of life, and inevitably that means relaying something about sinful human actions. Christians have to carefully think through how they tell those stories. As Jennings put it, “There’s not a rule book.”

Although some entertainment that seeks to present a truthful perspective on the world becomes gratuitous, some that passes for “Christian” entertainment/reading presents an artificial world with little resemblance to reality. That error is as disastrous as being licentious.

So our personal opinions about dinosaurs is now part of the prerequisites of being a pastor? Interesting.
