My heart hurts for your family! I am SO sorry for your loss!
I lost my 18-year-old niece in a car wreck on Homecoming night at their high school. Something like that seems so unbelievable ... so unnecessary.
I pray that the Lord will be with her parents, you and your family, grandparents, cousins, the many friends who will be affected, her precious sister ... that He will just wrap His loving arms around you all throughout the next year.
Things like this are so hard to go through, but the Lord is faithful to provide everything you will need.
Praying ....
Judah

Again, I want to thank all of you for your prayers. I am almost finished with the DVD for her. I usually limit the DVD's that I make for our local funeral home to 40 pictures and 2 songs. Jamie's has 82 photos right now. I'll use 4 songs. I'm going to start with "In My Daughter's Eyes", then "Help Pour Out the Rain", then "Good-bye for Now" and finally end with a song by a group called Green Day. The song is "Good Riddance". I know the title doesn't sound like it would be appropriate, but since it is one of Jamie's favorite songs, that makes it appropriate. I do these videos for our local funeral home all the time. I have to tell you - this is by far the most heart-wrenching one I've ever had to do.
I'm headed out to my brother's house now. Please keep praying. Thank you!!

Margie, I am so sorry for your loss and for your family. I will pray that God gives you the peace that you will need to get through this. It always hurts when we lose loved ones but it is a much deeper wound when it is a young person. It just isn't suppose to happen that way. I lost my 20 year old brother on his 20th birthday due to an industrial accident. It was a loss that my family learned to live with and learned how to let God help us through, and it is a memory that has gotten easier to deal with through time, but the memory has never faded. May God wrap his loving arms around you and your family this day. His love is the only love that can sustain us through these times.

Margie,
I know it is tough for you to be strong and work on this DVD. It must be heartbreaking looking at those pics coupled with the memories.
It sounds like it will be a wonderful tribute to her. I will continue praying for the entire family. Especially her sister and parents.

I am saddened to hear this, as I have daughters myself and can only imagine the aching and pain for these parents.

I also have daughters, two, and while I can only know the love I have for my daughters I cannot imagine the pain of losing them, especially in such a sudden tragic way.
Praying for peace and comfort for all the family and friends.

Jamie had only had her drivers license for less than a month. My brother bought her a new truck yesterday, which she drove two times. Tonight she and a friend were headed to another friend's house to spend the night together. Jamie ran through a stop sign and was broadsided by a semi truck. She died instantly. The other girl in the truck with her is in ICU. Please also pray for her and for her family.
Thanks so much.
Who would have known that losing a niece could be so painful!!
