Naw..no reason...well, maybe if I scored Chargers tix! Or if the dodgers were visiting. Not sure if you ever met my pops, Louis Ramirez Sr. He had the voice of a public address system. Once while at the old stadium, the Dodgers were visiting. Your home team Padres hit a grand slam and the place went nuts..in his loudest, meanest, baritonest voice he shouted, "AWWW SIT DOWN!!!!!" the entire section quickly hit their seats...it was the funniest thing I ever seen! (BTW, we lost that game to the dreaded Padres)

Chargers don't play there! Just the Padres. Beautiful park. Right down by the bay. BTW, I do remember your uncle! Great story!

By coincidence I will be flying from Nashville into LAX this Thursday for a long weekend mini vacation!
My son is a Marine at Twentynine Palms in the desert and he has a 96 hour leave this weekend.
While my kids were growing up for about five or six years some or all of them lived for two or three months a year in Burbank and I would fly over to spend eight or nine days with them in the middle of their stay. However I have not had the pleasure of being in Southern CA for about five or six years now so I am really looking forward to it.
Here is a list of things I have done in the LA area I think are fun;
1. Disneyland
2. Knotts Berry Farm
3. Magic Mountain
4. Universal Studios
5. Peterson Automotive Museum
6. Santa Monica Pier / Pacific Ocean
7. Malibu (Beach)
8. Gene Autry or Western Museum (I forget the exact name) at Griffith Park
9. Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum and Libray in Simi Valley
10. Trip from Long Beach to Catalina Island (by Ferry, 22 miles)
11. Eat the best fast food hamburgers in the world at In-N-Out Burgers.
12. Visit the "Big Boy" old time restaurant in Burban.
There is more but those are the first things that come to mind.

LOL!!! Our apartment was literally one block from Warner Brothers studio, two minutes from NBC studios, five minutes from Disney Studios, and 10 minutes from Universal Studios.
The first thing we would do on arriving was get a seasons pass to Universal Studios as that is a fun place to hang out. One time (before you could pay extra for this privelege - it was ony for "stars) we got VIP passes for a day at Universal and got to go to the head of every line!!! It was great.
I would love to live in Southern CA but only if I were independently wealthy and did not have to work a typical job there. The cost of living is insane and the traffic the same. A great place to visit though.
Back to our apartment for a minute. We always stayed at one that has very high security and is used extensively by the music and movie studios. Over the four or five years we stayed there we had at various times as neigbhors The Spice Girls, Boyz2men, Coolio, Wu Tang Clan, Brandon Fraser, Michael Keaton, some pop stars whose names escape me right now, McCaluley Calukin, the star of Malcom In The Middle, Frankie Munez (my daughter babysat him), and the kid from the Wonder Years. This was in the mid 90's to early 2000's.

Naw, that is just things I have done over the years. It is very tough figuring out what to do with just 3 1/2 days.
I think we have narrowed it down to;
1. One day at Disneyland or Knotts
2. Cowboy / Western Museum
3. Reagan Museum Library (I have not been there since he was buried there
or since they added Air Force one. My son has never been.
We will have time for one or more things but I am not sure what yet. I also love that Peterson autmotive museum and the private tours of Paramount and Warner Brothers studios.
