"Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes...known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare."
- James Madison, Political Observations, 1795
Interesting professor at UCLA
William R. Clark is Professor Emeritus of Immunology in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
He wrote a cool book

"Petrodollar Warfare: Oil, Iraq and the Future of the Dollar"
In his book, I believe he nailed the reason that we invaded Iraq. They sealed their fate when they started trading oil in Euros in 2000.
In his book he said that Iran and Syria are next. Here we are. What's cool about his book is that it was published in 2005, before there were issues either in Iran or Syria.
Interesting read. Check it out.
