Bad News / Good News For Ultra Conservatives

Not sure what to tell you about that. I call it as I see it, and I see this forum as one perpetuating and even desiring division so that this place doesn't die of boredom (a false perception, not a truth). If you removed all the threads about the UPC and UCs or liberals or the threads that evolve into a discussion on one or the other (or all), it would be quite dull, IMO. But, it's funny, I am a member of another forum where unity nearly dominates the entire board and all I get is edified. Go figure.

And.......in the meantime, even those who aren't UC are seen fighting with the more liberal of the bunch. It's amazing. Like I said, 2 other forums have devoured themselves. I only hope this one wakes up and tries to foster unity instead. Will you? It's really not boring as most suppose. It's where the blessing of God is, in fact.

I use the internet as you know but I am aware of the dangers it brings. I appreciate what he had to say. Better than nothing being said about anything anytime.

I think the good news is that most Pentecostal preachers that I know of are warning of the dangers.

In listening to sermons I hear it being addressed in very conservative churches and chuches like mine.

I would like to address this part of your post. The downfall of the two predecessors of this forum (FCF, NFCF) was basically caused by members of ONE FAMILY!

This family is not involved in the ownership of this forum, and has zero influence here! I think it bodes well for the future of this forum!

There is the key word. I thought "A little leaven leavens the whole lump"? (JK, JK)

You will never find a perfect internet Forum. It just isn't going to happen. I also think that you will find that the purpose of the other Forum and this one are stated as being different. To a certain extent they both live up to, and fall short of, their stated purpose.

It hasn't happened yet. The leaven is cut out quick enough I guess. I'm not privy to those decisions or the workings of the administration. There are things done that I'm sure I don't have a clue about that protect the unity there.

I'm not expecting such. But, there is a difference when one is seeking perfection and one seems to not even want it.

As I said in my previous post, it just seems that people are afraid of unity because of how BORING it sounds. Some people thrive on chaos, don't you think? And, by golly, it's their RIGHT to do so!!

The purpose of AFF is not unity. It is a place to discuss things from very different views and perspectives.

That is a different mission that that of GNC and some other forums.
