It is folly to believe that no one knew there would be a tiny split. I really see no major impact on the UPC.

Have you ever planted a church?
What percentage left the UPC?
2%?

Bro Elpey, did anyone ever tell you how difficult it is to follow your thoughts at times?
When you said "I don't know how many left and don't care", I thought you were talking about the church you started! I had to read your post twice to figure out that you meant you didn't know how many men left the UPC over resolution 4. Just to help us poor readers could you please put thoughts that are not related on separate lines? thanks a bunch

GASP! I'll have to revisit my position to see where I've gone wrong!

Re: Legacy: KH's Second Greatest Impact?
Charnock, how could KH know that this resolution would barely pass in Tampa? For someone with an agenda, as you claim, to get rid of the "right wing fanatics" as you term them ... he was not very vocal during the 4-5 year span in trying to sway the vote ... nor did he seem to tip his hand. A very calculated risk if you ask me ... just a few more votes and the cons would have had free reign for decades to come.
-----------------------------------------
I think the role KH had at Christian Life College has not been factored in this discussion thus far. As President ... he hired some of the movement's most divergent free thinkers ... and as the premiere college in the org especially in the last few years ... we are seeing that some of the liberalization of the org is being spearheaded by CLC alumni or others w/ ties to it.
