Cra* is the word I use, and I am always getting hammered about it.
Of course, my mom still gasps when I say butt, that was not acceptable in our house growing up!!
When I got married I found out very quickly that in my MIL's house the most common word for flatulence was completely unacceptable!

I heard about a preacher who was really going in his sermon and meant to say that people needed to listen instead of thinking about what they were going to eat at Fuddruckers later......Hilarity ensued.
I told on my aunt one time for saying the F word. She was a lot younger than my mom and lived with us for a while when she was a teenager.
We had missionaries staying with us, and I rushed into the room in front of them and told my mom that my aunt had said the F word! She was upset and denying it, and I started crying, insisting she was lying! My mom finally pulled me to the side and had me whisper what she had said.
The big bad "F" word...Fart!!
TOo funny I must have been posting the same time as you were!

I am sorry but taboo words like s_!t are not bad they are only perceived bad. I would not say them that I might offend someone but in reality we replace the same word with another word which refers to the same things. What is the difference? NONE! Babby has a bad diaper how many use "soft" words for that? uh huh SAME THING!
Also like when someone says " man that really s_cks" I don't see it as cursing and most don't use it that way. I never did. Many have told me that they use it like when you are running and you are struggling and in obvious pain and the term used for that is "sucking air." So to me if that comes to there mind, I am not going to judge it. Again it's all about taboo for the most part. Some words clearly should not be used but others are just people trying to make everything wrong.
Me and my friend who is a minister joked about this. so I came up with a simple example how words are taboo and howto beat it.
example: He is full of excrement! Now is "excrement" a bad word? I have not seen it put on the naughty list! LOL! So it must not be bad!
