One night my youngest started to squall and I went to take her to the nursery.. got back and from the pulpit he said ummm go get that kid... my kids gonna know how to act in church and if she cries again she can come preach with me... I did.. he did... hold her while he preached that night and I guess she learnt a lesson lol.. she never cried in church again... I know thats not the case with all but I admire anyone who keeps them in church and lets them learn from even an earlier age!
I agree with you fully. It certainly isn't easy keeping them in check when they're small but it's good for them to know church is a special place, right from as far back as they can remember.

I am sorry and I know I will step on a lotta toes here... but people need to start taking those kids who are old enough to understand the words be quiet and no out of the nursery and letting them hear the word and they will remember this for years... There is not a problem in the world with letting them sit in church! I know its not fun for the parents but eventually it becomes much easier and its well well worth it in the long run... no I never said my kids are perfect and anyone who knows me knows we have been down a long road..but I would hate to think where we would be if not....

We rarely have special speakers in, but when we do, it's usually for a special "Encounter Service" on a Sunday night, or sometimes we will have someone in for a Sunday and Monday, but that's rare. I remember those old revivals of 3 & 4 weeks with no rest nights; I don't know how we did it and our parents got up every day and went to work.
