One important point that the Anti's fail to see is that the resolution DOES NOT force anybody to purchase a tv, sign a cable or Direct TV contract or mandate up to 8 hours of viewing. It only allows the use of tv for advertising purposes. While GRT's letter is gracious, it does allow tolerance. That is a talent far lacking in most Anti's position.

You sure seem to have a bitter soul over the UPCI. You read something into what you quoted that definitely was not there. The man was simply stating that disunity would hamper the UPCI from edifying the Kingdom of God.

Neckstadt...
Your response to a very moderately worded letter is remarkable...it demonstrates a serious predisposition to draw a bias conclusion...
There is nothing in Brother Travis' letter that would cause you to draw a conclusion about an attitude of spiritual exclusiveness...
Such an obviously flawed analysis is disappointing...I would have hope for better...

What next?? Are they asked to tolerate pants and makeup on women, and shorts on men??
Surely no one is blind enough to believe that the next step for the liberal crew will be to strike the tv prohibition totally from the manual. "If we are going to advertise on it, then it is a contradiction to still prohibit it."

Who in MS is pulling out? I know I am from there, but I travel all the time and the church I am from is not pulling out. We were glad to see the way the vote went. I do know that I have heard from a reliable source that half the preachers are leaving but no names.

Bro. Travis is a TRUE christian in every sense of the word. I have a great deal of respect for him. I believe that he can sway the men in MS.

Bro. Travis did a great job writing his thoughts and feelings on the issue. Now if people would just listen.
People will never all get along nor will they all agree. That's unattainable pie in the sky stuff. But we can disagree about some of the issues and still work together for the common cause and the raison d'etre. That is worth staying unified for - the raison d'etre I mean.
