Why do you say she took a long time? She went through several channels before she ever went to court. Sent a few letters to the pastor himself, asking him to retract his statement, talked to the presbyters..... she tried other channels before going to court with it, which took a while.

Did I read that the statement was made in July and she heard about it in November. I should check, but could you do it? I'm being lazy tonight. LOL!

But I do agree with PO that it can apply to women who are accustomed to living conservatively. No, not to your average American woman who's used to showing lots of skin. Yes, to a woman who's a little more aware of herself and her actions.
