That is NOT the same as posting a cropped video clip to ridicule him, in public, on YouTube, is it? People scour YouTube and run across random things to view. It is not the same thing or same type of format. Nor is it the same type of setting, at all.

Oh come on, PO, just because "choose" not to go to the Giants game doesn't mean it's not news. Those who choose or don't choose to go to his website has nothing to do with whether or not his posted sermons are news. And like I keep saying....if RM had dropped an F-bomb in his sermon and it was posted on his website, you sure as heck know it would be news!!

Well, yea, I'd have wonder at him using that word, but he hasn't and it's likely he won't.

So, his sermon is news. I am just wondering HOW it became news? That's all I want to know.

I found out about it the same way I found out Crystal Cathedral filed for bankruptcy, the same way I found out I found out that Craig Groeshael posted promotional flyers in his lobby for other churches in town because he wanted a lot of people to leave, the same way I found out Kenneth Haney wasn't re-elected General Superintendent, the same way I found out the Bill Hybels strongly denied he ever apologized for the strategy of his church the previous 30 years......

I read it on an internet blog/forum.

1) There are two elements that take place in these two posted sermons that are as troublesome.....more so for me......than him dropping the f-bomb. Slang is one thing, condemnation, approving what was just condemned, mockery, and disrespecting elders is much worse than slang.

2) It became news when it was posted for public viewing on the church website.

The question is.....would it be legitimate if we were discussing him dropping the f-bomb in a posted sermon on his website? I can't imagine you would say anything but, "yes." And if so, then THIS is legitimate as well.

Well, I just wanna say that I think the Giants are better than they were last year, but that doesn't have anything to do with what we're talking about.

PO, you KNOW that if RM had preached with no shirt on and the sermon were posted, or if he had worn cargo shorts and a tank top, or if he had breathed fire, or the opposite.....

....if he had prayed for someone in the congregation that was missing an arm and an arm had grown instantly....

...it would have been news and you wouldn't care where it came from and you can't possibly NOT admit that.

But, he didn't and it wasn't.

He preached his opinion, GP preached his. Billy Cole once said that 85% of the time a preacher preaches his opinion. Probably so.

It's RM's church. He can do whatever he wants and DA is NOT on his Board of Directors. He might not have realized that little tidbit of info. LOL!
