I do believe that thrre are many misconceptions of this whole issue that only someone from within would be qualified to elaborate, if it comes to that., I have more or less learned from my pastor(s) regarding this act, over the years..

It's been debated here before(been a long time). have your pastor come on board and we'll start a thread on it if interested.

I'm Hispanic, and for the Hispanic Pentecostals in my area, most have joined the UPC, and when the Hispanics broke from the trinitarian Pentecostals or evangelicals they were known as "Jesus Solo" Christians, my grandparents call me and my sister that. Anyways, that's too bad about the AA, I didn't see them, ever, as really all that solid to begin with, I mean from how much I've known of them over the years...
Getting rid of the wedding ring standard and the veils, I'm not surprised. That's what happens when they are rules and not inward convictions. If the young people had been taught about the veil and why jewlery and wedding rings are not proper attire on a Christian, and then if the kids where encouraged to study, pray and seek it out from the LORD, they would see, (or at least I believe they would see, since I believe in these things), in the woman's second covering and in the rejection of jewlery. Unfortunately though, I see a lot of young people in my generation being entertained... Alright, that's all from me, I won't get any further into that now... lol
GOD BLESS!

Monkeyman....they have relaxed that rule. Where there used to be a difference in the color and size of the veils...there is jo distinction anymore. At least that is how it is down here.

Once again...this all has to do with a human interpretation of what "covered" means.

At one time ( a generation ago) it was mandatory in the catholic church too. now, it's rare if you see any wearing one except those who are first generation from mexico or south america and very old.

I know of a pastor who used to teach the headcovering for the women, and then studied and changed the way his church had been doing things. He said it was very embarrassing, but he was glad he did it, and that the local assembly is doing better. Now, I can see where he's coming from, he studied it out, and even made some good points as to why he no longer teaches the veiling, I don't agree with him, but I respect him. I don't respect women who get rid of their veils because they are not fashionable or hip, or because their pastor (who might really believe it) won't preach it, out of fear.
GOD BLESS!

Getting rid of the wedding ring standard and the veils, I'm not surprised. I don't believe that is universally true, I've not heard of that, I think peoples assumptions are just that. That's what happens when they are rules and not inward convictions. Oh REALLY? If the young people had been taught about the veil and why jewlery and wedding rings are not proper attire on a Christian, and then if the kids where encouraged to study, pray and seek it out from the LORD, they would see, (or at least I believe they would see, since I believe in these things), in the woman's second covering and in the rejection of jewlery. Alright, that's all from me, I won't get any further into that now... lol Yeah hit and run, real consistent of ya

This is subjective for you, {bolded black above, along with other comments in blue} not fair to lump this fine org of godly saints, into such a cold statement., from what I've learned its origin goes waaay back into days of old in Mexico.
People are people everywhere, many are just not 'into it" {loving serving GOD} many of youth are fragile about how they are seen by peers so of course this may pose a problem just like any other issue such as bible reading., praying and so on, its all part of a personal relationship with JESUS that a person can choose to have or not have, people of any age for that matter.
I HAVE known many consecrated youths from the AAFCJ, though. Great inspiring souls committed to GOD its refreshing and exciting, to see.,
my own sons were baptized in this org as well and are fine examples of young christian men., walking in the midst of a secular world, they have done rather well the HG guides their lives., the favor of GOD rests upon them.
The AAFCJ is different in ways I can't explalin from UPC or other JESUSname org's {not doctrinal though} I have a most special connection to it, I have no regrets about my becoming a 'saint' there. I had never spoken much spanish before then, nor knew it like I now do, had it not been for where GOD led me to., as part of His plan for me after being long backslidden/lost from a relationship with Him, [albeit baptist],
I was much in love with JESUS since long ago {a little girl} and He led me back to a truer relationship with Him HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER! There isn't anything too much that I can't do for Him, includes wearing my LONG lace veils during prayer, worship and bible reading., in fact I do it for ME, too. I AM what and where HE alone has made me and led me to., a most interesting journey. I wouldn't change it if I could. (most of it)
BTW most AAFCJ godly men in leaderships that I've known refrain from going online onto public forums such as this., they are way too busy with the ministries GOD has put them in, and I respect them for that, GOD's Word is not to be used as a pawn of any sort., its not to be taken lightly, nor debated to death like so many secular topics. JMHO
Thats all from me, too, about this.
