Well, more cultish anyhow. We're already a cult by the standards of 99% of "Christianity."

It's definitely unusual, but I think it is far more likely to fade away than to lead to snakes, communal living, and vast vats of "heavenly" Kool-Aid. (TM)

99% of Christianity don't know who you are and how you are different from them untill you have the opportunity to tell them. And with the lack of propensity to witness to 99% of Christianity, chances are they don't consider you/us a cult because they don't know you exist.

There is no New Testament basis for even a group of elders doing that kind of thing. Don't Jesus' commands mean anything in the Church anymore?????

I think I would show up for the meeting, just to see if it was for real... then I would sit there, try not to laugh and ask them to pray God's judgement down on me... eventually I would get bored and leave.

To me, I think this is wrong, but he seems to be in agreement with this practice and feels that it is okay to put people in front of a panel of five people to discuss why they are not doing certain things. He claims sons and daughters are obedient. They even find scripture that calls you a bastard if you don't receive this correction from them.

How do you all feel about this?
You know, while I think Jerks like this are an eyesore to Christianity, if the saints are doing what they are supposed to do, the jerks would not find a need to do what they are doing.

Pay your Tithes......Shut the mouths of jerks!
