Take Zaccheus*typo prolly* for example...Jesus didnt look up into the tree and name all his faults...just told him to come down that He was going to his house that day....doesn't say that Jesus preached conviction but SOMETHING happened in the mans spirit that he repented and made effort to make what he had done right.
If you show up with your nasty attitude, the sinner wont look at you as having answers...they are gonna realize that you are just as in need of Jesus as they are....except you dont realize it yet cause you think youre in the right.

I see what you are saying, I mean but there is a difference in between ripping people off and being homosexual. Especially now, compared to Jesus' day. Even in the time of Elder Westberg, society was tolerant telling them "oh, we understand, you were born that way." And someone has to tell them about how dirty, and diverted they had become. Because usually by that point they truthfully couldn't see the Forrest for the trees.
But, now if he was part of his congregation that would be a different story. I mean Jesus told Peter "get behind me Satan, for you have no idea of what spirit you are of." Now while He didn't do that just when He met Peter, after Peter had been walking with Jesus a while He did. In Zacheus' case, he just met Jesus. He was sick, and of need of help. But had Zacheus kept living that way I'm sure Jesus would've told him "you are a dirty thief, and then even had a choice phrase towards him."" I mean He never said so of Judas but He did say explicitly "didn't I choose you the 12, but yet one of you is a devil." I believe He would've convicted Judas, but Judas had a part to play. He never fully convicted Judas because his role from before the world was, was to betray Jesus. If not I'm sure He wouldve said something that called a spade a spade yet didn't sin, that cut like a knife and didn't comeback void but accomplished what It was sent forth for..

In the Elder Westberg tape at 11:59-12:43 is the story of Sister Westberg and the Homosexual altercation. Elder Westberg states that the homosexual got into her face first and started to defend his lifestyle for whatever reason. the homosexual ending with God won't send me to hell for homosexuality. Then Sister Westberg does the finger pointing and tells the homosexual that hell is going to be busted wide as the homosexual hits . One, it is preaching to a church family, two, it is the elder giving his recollection of the events which his wife was involved. I guess whatever happened that day will be lost to the past. But, I have been in all sorts of situations, some turned out well, some turned out not so well. I'll tell you this, I sit with my Bible open, reading and studying. I NEVER EVER stop anyone to sit with me. They have to invite themselves. When I'd travel I would always do the same thing, It takes time, but I promise you that someone will sit down, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Homosexual altercations have gone from mild to wild. You must keep in mind that you can never start the situation, but you must finish it and finish well. Because when people sit with me, the trouble makers are going out of their way to cause a scene. To make sure that everyone around sees that Christianity is garbage. Can I raise my voice like Elder Westberg in the street while I'm Bible studying? No, because people would think I was out of my mind. Also people are intimidated by the yelling street preacher, and the yelling street preacher is easy to trip up and send into a tail spin.
I mind my own business, the only thing they recognize is the open Bible. They invite themselves. In that way, they can't say anything that I bothered them. They are at MY TABLE, through their invitation. If they get nasty with me, then it is all on them. If it is a minister of some other religion then they understood that they sat down by their own choice. But like I said, sometimes it is awesome, wonderful down right good, but sometimes it doesn't turn out well. Because people who love their sin, (I mean really LOVE their sin) get real crazy when you tag that spirit. Forums are nothing compared to the wonderful world of in living color. We live in a time where hell and every demon is leading people into a wide open abyss. I live in a major city, and if you want to get the message across you have to use your head. I have found through the years that the big mouth who is sitting across from you who invited himself or herself to sit down with you isn't the one to win. It seems it's really the ones who are sitting around you. Who are quietly listening, won't make eye contact sometimes. Just listening, just waiting to hear what you will say. I have had people who were never even sitting with me sneak over and put money under my Bible. To the shock of those who were trying to pick a fight. While individuals who thought the winning the argument and someone comes over to the table and tell the individual arguing, that if they shut up long enough, they might learn something. Those were the people who would give me their business card, a phone number, want to know when they can get a Bible study. Invite me over for dinner, lunch, and come to church to be baptized in Jesus name.
Being out in the street, I seen a lot of different people. Since it is a major city, mostly from all over the world visiting. People are tired of being politically correct, or politically corrected. The social justice warrior mentality in Churchanity is down right fairy twinkling.
They see it swallowing the church in the United States whole.
Would I scream like Elder Westberg? He was behind the pulpit, in his city, in his church house, in his pulpit, and to his people. No, I wouldn't bang the pulpit ( or table) out in the street.
But, I have made things to some as crystal clear as I have posted them here.

Dont you know? They ARE birn that way.
God stopped making people after Adam and Eve...He made the process self replicating and gave them the process to make more of themselves....so just because you were born a certain way doesnt mean that it was Gods perfect design.
The argument shouldnt be fought over whether or not someone is born a certain way because of sin being inherited from the fall.
We are ALL born in sin and shapen in iniquity.

It's funny you say that because this is a tape of Elder Nathan Dudley (this is one of Bishop Westberg's son's in the gospel. Just for those who don't know. He now Pastors his church.) about that very thing. Start about Between 40:10 and 40:13 and let it play until about 46:03. But a great word if you've never heard it before.

No one is born gay, that's Psychology rheotic. While that may be a philosophy, it's only a hypothesis. You could be born with a generational curse, but no one is by nature homosexual bro. Don't buy into that garbage.

No verse says "we are all born in sin and shapen in iniquity". But there are verses indicating that God Himself forms us in the womb. Homosexuals aren't born, they are made, by their environment, their parenting, their experiences, and their choices. Just like serial fornicators and adulterers aren't born that way.
There are no excuses for sin.

I have been thinking of trying the same thing, I live in a sleepy little retirement community and there is a park by the River with picnic tables so I should be pretty safe.

Sis, yet, you are still dealing with people and people who have different opinions (especially old ones) can still be the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. May the Lord bless your endeavors in Jesus name. Also you must commit to be faithful to this at least a year. It is odd how people who you have never said as much as boo devil boo to, know your schedule. Who also depend on you being there. Had a woman who was going through some major issues in her life. Who after "5" years finally walked up to the table to tell me that it gave her strength to see me there fighting for the Gospel sitting with my Bible open. Sometimes getting up to go inside the store and leave my Bible just sitting there. Watching people walk by to see the open Bible. Sister also prayer before you go out and come back, and thank Jesus for everytime you go there to sit and read. No matter what happens.
