Re: Acting in his name
Og, as noted by Buckeye, you aren’t a teacher.
You get pretty bent out of shape as you get opposition.
Your whole anti-whatever baptism argument has been refuted.
Also may I suggest that if your main goal is schooling to provide a better life for your family then concentrate on that. Because you are wasting your precious time here. Especially concerning this subject. You have convinced yourself that the only reason you are getting your opposition is because you have such blinding truth. Therefore, when we bow up, you automatically smack down. So, chalk this one up to your never ending migration journey to truth. We are just more ecclesiastical pygmies standing in the way in your progression. Also find some mentorship in your immediate area who will not be a yes man. Someone who will stand toe to toe and tell you you’re wrong, when you are incorrect in any given area. Hope you do well in school, and that you stay on track. But all you seem to be doing here is frustrating yourself.

No, i just object to those who intentionally misrepresent what others are saying.
Your whole anti-whatever baptism argument has been refuted.
Well, one has to first actually debate what I've said in order to refute it. You still have not done that.
Also may I suggest that if your main goal is schooling to provide a better life for your family then concentrate on that. Because you are wasting your precious time here. Especially concerning this subject.
So your "concern" for me was an act then. Wow, what a completely out-of-line thing to say. I come on the is board to share and to hear the ideas of others, just like everyone else. You don't have a corner on the market as to what constitutes true Apostolic doctrine, so kindly step off of your high horse, sir. You have been very unkind to Aquila and others to a degree I've rarely seen elsewhere.
You have convinced yourself that the only reason you are getting your opposition is because you have such blinding truth. Therefore, when we bow up, you automatically smack down.
No sir. You have completely described yourself here.
So, chalk this one up to your never ending migration journey to truth.
Maybe I'll "arrive" to "all truth" like you someday. Most of us concede that we will not understand everything while we are this side of Heaven.
We are just more ecclesiastical pygmies standing in the way in your progression.
Again, you are the one whose acting like he's got it all, not me.
Also find some mentorship in your immediate area who will not be a yes man. Someone who will stand toe to toe and tell you you’re wrong, when you are incorrect in any given area.
Again, I simply shared a different angle. It should be clear that I of all people am tolerant to those who don't see it exactly like I do. But somehow in your mind, deviating even slightly from your version of "truth" brings down your wrath. But I'm being intolerant? Wow. As far as your advice above...you certainly need to practice what you preach.
Hope you do well in school, and that you stay on track. But all you seem to be doing here is frustrating yourself.
Please spare me the false concern, You and a couple of others have set yourselves up as the "guardians of doctrinal purity" on this board and try to bully away any dissenting views. You don't intimidate me.

I've thought this over this is really more describing what we are saying then your view. Yes it is "in the authority of" but it's only coming from, a invocation of this man's name, but his name is being called over you. Otherwise how do they know, to even give you the credit in his name? This man's name is invoked in the power of attorney so therefore his name is specified or called. Whether that's written or spoken, the name has to be signed and therefore notarized. The process is called "invoking a power of attorney." This means "in the authority of", but it's coming from having "his name called over you." Your name would also be on the document, giving you authority to act in his name, or as him through this. It cant be separated, I don't believe. I'm sure many would agree with me.

We know Jesus has given us authority because we have a WRITTEN record of it. This bank analogy is the same. The man borrowing money in the nmae of his boss would also have to have a WRITTEN record. This is not speaking of speaking the name.

That is true but whether it's spoken or written, it is being called over you. You wouldn't agree on that?

Re: Acting in his name
I've been looking at James 2:7 "Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?"
I was looking at the Thayer's and called come comes from the Greek Word "epikaleomai". Meaning "to put a name upon, to surname to permit one's self to be surnamed,to be named after someone." A surname being that adopted name the family name we've talked about. Then another meaning was "to invoke, to call upon for one's self, in one's behalf
any one as a helper, as my witness, as my judge, to appeal unto." This is definitely something spoken. And this is the last thing I saw there "to call upon by pronouncing the name of Jehovah an expression finding its explanation in the fact that prayers addressed to God ordinarily began with an invocation of the divine name." That leaves no doubt what it means it says to pronounce, to call, to have a name put upon. This is showing it's "in the authority of" but also having the name called over you, and you calling on that name. Do you disagree?

No, sorry, no one is misrepresenting you, or what you believe. Again, what you are teaching is far from rocket science. You just happen to believe that you found the best thing since back pockets. We don't think so, therefore you act like you broke a finger nail when anyone refutes you based on the logical conclusions on what you are peddling. You don't like it, guess what...tough, deal with it, or move on.

Anyone who knows me, knows I don't act for anyone. So, save it, I never got a full frontal view of your sniveling and immature whining when you are bested. You think Esaias, rdp, myself are religious cave dwellers dragging our knuckles as we walked stooped over? Just waiting for you to not spoon feed us? But to throw yourself on your back screaming that we are misrepresenting you? Give it break, and get over yourself. You are starting to get really annoying. With starting threads concerning a teaching that you really seem not able to explain. Does anyone here believe like you? Well, guess what? Hand them the baton and allow them to educate us sandmen, while you go and strengthen your arguments. You lost me, when you feebled out and called me Sean. That not only surprised me, but indicated that you can't deal with being told you are wrong. As long as we agree with you, you don't bite.

Grow up. Got it, grow up. You are a bore, your infantile behavior was noticed by Buckeye Buckaroo. But, you want to just complain as you struggle and bleed as you hang on your cross.

Bro, sorry, but this isn't rocket science or higher math. It is a book, and it is a library. One that is clear, and tells the story of one certain group. Not the Hindu vedas, and the Muslim hadiths.

Again, it is quite plain that you have the "revelation" and we are at your feet. Because when we challenge you, you kick us in the face.

Wow, are you kidding me? Bro, when anyone of us don't buy your stories you get upset. You called me Sean? Go back and reread our discussions. I wasn't kicking your tail end all over the thread. I wasn't being my sarcastic self, I wasn't. I believed we were friends and I found out that was far from the case. You got me man, hey you fooled me. But guess what Hoss, I'm a quick learner.

Ya got me.
Turn down the heat, go and strengthen your arguments, and stop with all your sniveling. Teach something irrefutable, instead of trying to convince us that the Baptists and AoG are saved.

I've never had a friend act the way you do. I'm praying that God deals with you, brother. I'm not going to be your enemy, but I'm not going to let you get away with misrepresentations. Hopefully some things I've said in the other thread will put some of this to rest.
