Why is my question not a good one? I know nothing about this guy and was trying to get some background on him and his history, that is all.
well, that question insuates
1. that the person in question has not preached the gospel
2. that doing so insures the one is question is "approved"
my point was (and I admit it wasn't really said well) was that Paul warns very clearly that a preacher of truth can find himself losing his own soul.
Im not taking you to task.... I apologize for that. Rather I am pointing out that preaching truth isn't the standard. Its an indication of nothing. Staying TRUE to the truth is what matters.
love ya my brother !

Not just "Big Name Prophets". Also the ones who are only "big name" in their own minds.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

This thread reminded me that at the UPC GC this year Mark Yandris introduced me to Freddie Clark! I have heard about him a long time but the first time I had seen him in person. He was very nice and didn't grab me by the head and prophesy over me at all. LOL!!!

It seems his prophecy lies heavily on a certain view of eschatology. He said the USA does not have a role in endtime prophecy. Now, maybe his endtime eschatology is right and mine is wrong. That's possible. But my point is that his eschatology is wrong, then it goes to show how people base other issues like prophesying on doctrines they adhere to like eschatology. And that should not be the case.

"Many Christians do not try to understand what was written in a verse in the Bible. Instead they approach the passage to prove what they already believe."
I have heard the late Rev. Billy Cole say that we have to give room for people to practice their gifts and then offer them the space to apologize, to be wrong, and then move on.
Then call him out on it.

The only role I see for the USA is the role of, "a nation from far that will come in with wings of an eagle to help Israel..."
