I think this is a warning for those who would try to compromise with a religion that has set up man as its god, instead of the Lord Jesus.

Tony Palmer... friend of a friend. What did you not like about Tony's message?

This morning, in a few minutes, he's addressing a joint meeting of Congress. I don't get that, either. I'm betting he'll preach his liberal doctrine of climate change and amnesty for illegals. Were I a member of Congress, I'd be sorting files in my office during the speech.

The whole thing is interesting. Even the news treats him higher than any head of state.
How did one religion and man become so powerful? How come nobody gives a rats behind about the patriarchs of other Orthodox churches?
They are the self proclaimed head of all churches
It spread by sword through the world

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

To see Rick Warren in awe of this should surprise no one.
I was moved in emotion at one point, and hold on before y'all leap before you read...
It wasn't the Pope who moved me to tears, but Sen. John Boehner weeping on the balcony of the Capital Building that stirred me...I cried because as a Catholic, for HIM, this was probably the most spiritual moment he has ever experienced. He was in the presence of the one HE and billions of others believe is the Vicor of Christ
We of course know this to be false, but for this man it is very real. I thought of the zillions of times I have wept in the presence of the One and only true and living God...as recently as this morning in prayer.
How grateful I am for the knowledge of who He is, and Whose I am. That is not said in a manner that bespeaks superiority, but with a deep understanding that it could have been the other way.
It could have been me lining the streets shouting the praises of a man...just a man that they believe is elected to "stand inn the shoes of the fisherman." It could have been Sen. Boehner born into my Apostolic Pentecostal home, 3rd gen and thankful beyond words for my heritage.
I guess I'm rambling and hijacking the thread this afternoon, but my heart aches for a man who, unless someone reaches him with the Word of truth, will never know what weeping in the presence of true Majesty is.
Not sure if this makes sense to anyone...

Perfect sense. Absolute perfect sense... every word!
I found myself weeping yesterday when I saw the people running to see him go down the street at the White House gathering. I was mourning because I could see how they were deceived... and I mourned even more for those who were not Catholic because they are being sucked into the deception.

Re: Papal Visit Nonsense
You have to admit this Pope is doing more than 99% of Apostolic preachers.

Actually, I did get your point.
MY point though is that Boehner is a lying politician who weeps for the camera, and the 'pope' is Antichrist.

Re: Papal Visit Nonsense
I was blessed by Pope Paul in the summer of 1976 at his summer residence outside of Rom. Well me and about 500 other people crammed into his courtyard. I am a people watcher and it was very interesting watching what a emotional experience it was for the vast majority of the crows who were Roman Catholic.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I will admit that the Pope is the Antichrist, the representative of Satan upon the earth.
I will admit that the pope is doing more than 99% of all Christian preachers to bring the kingdom of Satan upon this world.

What has he done? The RCC is the richest church on the planet..why don't they build less cathedrals and help the poor instead of pontificating to everyone else?
