Re: Angry Preachers
I believe that most preachers who 'holler' while preaching are attempting are excited and under the anointing. This will not always be the case, there will be those who holler without it, and others who speak quietly with it. As long as it is under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, I do not care if he hollers or whispers. I do believe that some of the changes in modulation are also to get convey a point (such as dropping to a sharp whisper or rising to a shout). Some are for reaction. As I said, I love anointed preaching of all types.

What about those who put a "...uh!", or ".....uhuh!" after every few words? Is that the anointing or is it learned?
(Very blunt) Hint: It is NOT the anointing. It IS learned.

Well thank you for checking us.
I really did not want this to be about bashing anyone at all though. I am serious when I say I desire to understand the reasoning behind this style. I would really like to understand the anger. If I did understand it may be more than just white noise to me.

This has occurred to me as well. It may be that the speaker views the screaming/anger style as an extension of "the anointing" and therefore considers it sacred.

Re: Angry Preachers
And sometimes, if the screaming doesn't prove theres a mighty 'nointin, one may have to even resort to tongues.
, surely that never happens...

I hear you, but this need not be about tongues. There are plenty of Pentecostals and Charismatics that accept tongues but would not embrace addressing the brethren in anger or screaming.

I watch a TV show about wildlife in Florida. The main guy talks that way, it may be a habit. But, I think this guy is just nervous talking into a camera. So some of those that preach that way, might have been nervous starting out. And it just became a habit.
