Just throwing them out there for discussion? There are more commandments from Jesus than "love God and love your neighbor", yes?

So, if I were to divorce my wife, what then?

That would depend on why you did. For purposes of this thread suffice it to say Jesus taught about divorce and gave commandment about it. I say that just so this thread wont be swallowed up by the discussion on divorce and remarriage as that could easily happen.

And yes youve got it right. There are various specific commands.

Thats the difference between a disciple and one who is not. A true disciple would want to obey Jesus whether anyone else does or not.
