I'm 50 and just got in from a 17 mile bike ride at a pace most teenagers can't keep. People say you can't be in great shape in Mid Life, but that ain't the case...I try to get 5-6000 miles a year in, and just love riding.

I ran 7 miles today, 45 degree weather and the road at my feet! All it takes is picking yourself up and doing it!
THAT IS AWESOME!!! As a person who works out regularly, I say a BIG high five!!! It is amazing what consistency does....that is the key!
I have found that you actual have more energy and feel much better the harder you work out. So many preach disciple and look at things like money etc as a bench mark for consistency. I say the human body, except in a case of medical concerns, is a better measure....

Did 6 miles running. Was contacted and told that my background was cleared for new position that I accepted. The neat thing was when I went for the drug screen, three different folks had to look at my signature against my license, because I look so different. My license picture was from July 2009. It was very interesting to watch them look at me and say this is not you!
I have lost 70 and kept it off for three years. I would love to run and I am trying but I have some breathing issues. But I am still trying to get it done not to mention actual weight lifting too.
