I didn't mean tattle-tale, I meant respond to the poster, let them know you found their post objectionable.

Depends on who the poster is. Sam doesn't usually care, that's why I used him for an illustration. LOL!
Okay, gotta run, in the last stretch moments of the World Cup.

That's not a problem. If you find a post of mine objectionable you can respond and let me know. You are the only one who told me that you objected to my post about the meaning of the initials UPC. I've had others contact me by PM or respond to posts that they thought were objectionable. I've only had one post deleted by an Administrator and only one infraction if I remember correctly.

I also contacted the Administrators and had them remove one of my posts a while back after I had second thoughts about it but it was too late to edit or remove. That was in response to some comments I received.

You have? I didn't know that. lol I normally try not to use the PM function very often, unless I really have a reason. I guess I would wonder why you wouldn't think it was offensive, Sam. That's why so many don't post here anymore. Not that both sides haven't been on the offending side. It's just that I think many have left, by choice, and I wish it didn't have to be.

It's kind of ridiculous to say, "contact Admin", "report the post", "PM the person", etc., etc.
Just stop doing it - it's against the rules!! Hello! LOL!

Okay, that bugged me. LOL! I looked that up and it doesn't require a hyphen.
What was that word you used a while back that I wasn't familiar with? Niggling? Love that word! LOL! I would never use it, but it's funny! I just say "petty".

But, as you pointed out, the 'other side' can be just as offensive in their remarks to the 'greasy-gracers', the people who don't "believe anything."
And this is not recent. You can look back in the earliest archives on this site, and find threads exactly like this one. This battle-ground has been argued since the earliest forums.
In my honest opinion, it seems like the "conservatives" can be as offensive as they want to be to the "liberals", and it's considered par for the course. But if the liberals hit back, that's "negative" and everybody's going to leave the forum. It seems to be a very rare conservative who can come on this forum and be civil to the "liberals". You are one, thankfully. (although even you probably aren't considered conservative enough by some)
And of course we're all going to notice the remarks that go against our own personal beliefs. A remark that doesn't even make me blink might offend you and vice versa.
I honestly wish we could all converse and discuss with mutual respect. I wish we could respect each other's right to have a viewpoint, even if we don't agree with that viewpoint. Human nature makes that difficult I guess.

I didn't even think about the spelling, that's just how my brain put it out there.

I do agree with this! Yes, I think that it's human nature to think our individual view is right or trying to win the argument is at play.
And, honestly, I don't think any one side is worst at being unfair than the other. It always looked like a draw to me. Actually, which ever side was more prominent in posting was reigning at the time. It's just now that more conservatives don't post here, it's looking one sided. I don't really know how that could work, anyway, with people in leadership parting company with much different beliefs and then coming together to discuss them. lol
It would be a much more interesting place if both factions could log in and know that, even in disagreement, the view will be respected. I think that it's shameful it's not happening. I also don't see how it could work.
Hmmm, all of my posting has been a waste of time today! LOL! Oh, well, the World Cup is over and we lost, so I can log out. LOL! I can't watch every minute of a soccer game, it's too boring. LOL!
