If that's the case, wow. Just wow...
Isn't that just a stinky mess! Well, Rush says that Republicans have "lust" issues too, as per Twitter. LOL!

Re: South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford now claims

The wife's statement this afternoon: (I think this is great!)

Statement from First Lady Jenny Sanford

I would like to start by saying I love my husband and I believe I have put forth every effort possible to be the best wife I can be during our almost twenty years of marriage. As well, for the last fifteen years my husband has been fully engaged in public service to the citizens and taxpayers of this state and I have faithfully supported him in those efforts to the best of my ability. I have been and remain proud of his accomplishments and his service to this state.

I personally believe that the greatest legacy I will leave behind in this world is not the job I held on Wall Street, or the campaigns I managed for Mark, or the work I have done as First Lady or even the philanthropic activities in which I have been routinely engaged. Instead, the greatest legacy I will leave in this world is the character of the children I, or we, leave behind. It is for that reason that I deeply regret the recent actions of my husband Mark, and their potential damage to our children.

I believe wholeheartedly in the sanctity, dignity and importance of the institution of marriage. I believe that has been consistently reflected in my actions. When I found out about my husband's infidelity I worked immediately to first seek reconciliation through forgiveness, and then to work diligently to repair our marriage. We reached a point where I felt it was important to look my sons in the eyes and maintain my dignity, self-respect, and my basic sense of right and wrong. I therefore asked my husband to leave two weeks ago.

This trial separation was agreed to with the goal of ultimately strengthening our marriage. During this short separation it was agreed that Mark would not contact us. I kept this separation quiet out of respect of his public office and reputation, and in hopes of keeping our children from just this type of public exposure. Because of this separation, I did not know where he was in the past week.

I believe enduring love is primarily a commitment and an act of will, and for a marriage to be successful, that commitment must be reciprocal. I believe Mark has earned a chance to resurrect our marriage.

Psalm 127 states that sons are a gift from the Lord and children a reward from Him. I will continue to pour my energy into raising our sons to be honorable young men. I remain willing to forgive Mark completely for his indiscretions and to welcome him back, in time, if he continues to work toward reconciliation with a true spirit of humility and repentance.

This is a very painful time for us and I would humbly request now that members of the media respect the privacy of my boys and me as we struggle together to continue on with our lives and as I seek the wisdom of Solomon, the strength and patience of Job and the grace of God in helping to heal my family.

Rush is so, so........ I think he's ignorant and I don't like the way he is so polarizing and so biased and just so IGNORANT!!!!

I don't despise him, I despise what he says and what he does!!!

We're not talking about lust issues, we're talking about character and integrity issues!

Oh well. You best believe that if there was a trend of elected Democrat officials being unfaithful to their spouses Hannity and Rush would be all over these guys, questioneing their integrity and character as they continue to do grave injustice to the moral fabric of our nation!

HYPOCRITES!!!!!

HYPOCRITES!!!!!
How do you really feel, Jermyn?!!!

I will say one thing - he does lay out the issues on the table that, in some cases, would never come to light. I do give him that. Whatever we think about him, we need people like this. People do listen to him, because largely, no matter how he comes across, he's pretty accurate about a whole lot of things going on in the government.

I watch news clips on important issues that I run across by Rush and Hannity, but I wouldn't listen to their shows on a regular basis. Sometimes I catch them in my vehicle when I'm coming home if I'm tired of listening to music.

I tried to watch Hannity the other night.

I found him so nauseating!!!

This isn't the same guy I used to like-- he's not the same.

I gave him about 10 minutes, hoping for a glimmer of the Sean I used to know.

I ended up changing the channel and considered maybe I just shouldn't watch television any more. Hannity was just that disappointing to me. I really used to like him.

Whoever advised him to do away with "Combs" was foolish.

His radio shows aren't the same either.

Hannity is such a loser-- he emanates, "I am Hannity and I am a loser, a bitter, bitter loser!"

Speaking of repugnant, does anyone honestly think that is Sarah Palin was a Democrat that she and her daughter would have been "embraced" as potentially our next VP by the same party that continues to look the other way concerning her daughter even now?

I didn't ask this question online before, but I had a relative ask me this:

How different would the situation have been if Sarah Palin's daughter's boy friend was Black?

I don't intend to hijack this thread, but it's just more fuel to add to the fire concerning the subject of my party's HYPOCRISY!!!

This sounds like a great woman and wife. One that any man would be proud of. He's not the first man to fall and he won't be the last. Politics has nothing to do with his actions. Sounds like a good case of Mid life crises. He may end up a better man.
