As much as we might not like it, there is still a possibility that God WANTS Obama to win in November, for whatever reason He has in mind.
I have felt this strongly the past week. We just have to prepare ourselves for what may come from it and trust God.
We have been a blessed nation and taken our freedom and God for granted a long time. This could bring us to our knees again and spread a great revival throughout the country.
As long as things are hunky-dory, people don't need God. Should troubled times erupt and the church stand strong people will want to know how we can - talk about a revival!

My husband and I were discussing that very thing.
The only thing that I do see is that the country never votes for a President when his party rules the House and Senate. The Democrats have the House and Senate covered with more likely seats to pick up.
They don't ever vote in a candidate that far to the left, but he is already far to the left and won the nomination, so that part is confusing.

as much as it is possible that this might just be the will of God, I personally think it is more the permissive will of God.
I think sometimes, God does stop bad things from happening even when we try to make those things happen.
then when we commit ourselves to a bad direction, he eventually just steps back and lets us have what we want.
Barak Obama represents a growing number of people who want something that is very bad for this country. I just wonder if God hasnt stepped back and said "fine, if you want it you can have it"?

Good point, Ferd. I think our "unsettled feeling" is the growth of Islam and Obama being involved with people and hiring them to work with him who are members of the Nation of Islam.
You wonder where this could be heading for our country.....
It also made me wonder the timing of Tancredo's bill trying to make sure the Sharia law would not override our Constitution.

I might agree with that except for the fact that I don't believe it's Christians that are the ones "wanting it" - know what I mean? I believe he would hear our concerns and prayers over the non-praying people.

Makes me think of the scripture:
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, then I will heal their land".......
God's people need to pray like we've never prayed before!

Call me pessimistic but...
Even Jeremiah praying and weeping for Israel didnt save unrepentant Israel from destruction for its sins. America's sins have piled up for decades, and I believe a day of reckoning is inevitable. I dont believe praying will necessarily change the decision of God, if he has already decreed judgment on America.
However, prayer may well help the saints as the country goes through dark days to come, and help the church to be a light in a dark hour, and spur the revival the church has been waiting for for so long.

Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever.

I see this kind of thing as a balance. What direction are we tipping to?
If all of us active christians are praying for righteousness, but we are a minority of the country, then the country on balance stands against God.

Obama is trying to hit McCain on the Keating 5 - YET - he has John Glenn introducing Bruce Springsteen at a benefit concert!!!!! Both John Glenn AND John McCain were exonerated - YET......laughable!!!!

Keating Five Member is Obama Surrogate

But Obama doesn’t seem to have any quarrel with Glenn. The former Democratic Ohio senator introduced Bruce Springsteen at a benefit concert for Obama in Ohio on Sunday, October 5. He's also done other surrogate work for Obama as well. According to Obama's presidential website Glenn held a conference calls with reporters for Obama in August.
