They've moved on to the actual heart part of the surgery. Everything is still going well.

We got here yesterday morning in the wee hours of the morn, and after waiting for 2 hours for her to be taken back into pre-op, the doctor came out and told us that he was going to have to move hers back AGAIN!

As you can imagine, neither of us were too happy about that!!! She chose to be admitted in the hosptial, to forgo another early morning and hours waiting for pre-op.

Ironically, in the beginning we were both anxious about the surgery itself, now we are too busy worrying about if it's ever going to happen!

Right now, I am sitting in the hospital waiting room. I stayed with my mom until the end of visiting hours last night, when I got to the hospital at 7 this morning, they had already taken her to pre-op (which is a step farther than we've gotten before), so it looks good for an actual surgery today.

My Mom last night joked that people were going to be sick of praying for her, but nevertheless, I ask you to still keep her in your prayers.

I got my first update about 15 minutes ago, stating that they have started on the first part of the surgery where they remove a vein from the thigh to use for the bypass and that everything is going well thus far. The nurse said that she would call again when the surgeon was ready to do his part.

The doctor came to see me, the surgery went well. It ended up being only a triple rather than a quadruple. I actually caught a glimpse of her when she was wheeled by the waiting room into the ICU, but I won't be able to actually see her for about an hour and a half. She'll be in the ICU for a day or two, and then in the hospital and additional 4 days at the minimum.

I'd appreciate your continued prayers for a smooth and speedy recovery, (and for my nerves to handle it as well!)

I haven't updated for awhile. This seemed to be progressing rather well, if a bit on the slower side. But yesterday, she had a rough day. He heart started racing, and her heart rate was really high, and when they got that fixed her BP dropped way low. She only had the energy for 1 walk yesterday, and she is supposed to be taking 4 a day.

Please just keep her in your prayers.
