Another Suber Thread...

Actually everything said in this forum, in every single thread since its inception in Feb is insignificant compared to things said in other places.

As much as I admire T1's stand on behalf of our mutual friend, personally I see the overwhelming majority of the posts to be positive in nature, and the "criticisms" to range from amusing to innocuous.

He has been, and shall continue to be a leader in the Apostolic movement worldwide.

You know, this is what I have been thinking. Bro. Suber is a widely respected
busy preacher, I can't imagine that any of the things that have been said about him on here (which I don't believe have been in the least damaging) would cause him a moments unrest.

Personally, I know that Bro. Suber spoke a word from the Lord over my father a few years ago, and he was dead on. I was blessed by his ministry.

I just think that the over-reaction that has gone on has been a little much.

They do cause him unrest because words are powerful...and when things are said in a public forum, then read by those who may not be getting the whole picture, opinions are formed and thoughts are generated...

Especially in the minds of those who are connected here and also connected to the church where he is going to pastor.

I have seen several good men reap trouble because of things said about them on one of these forums...questions made it off of the forum and into the pastor's office concerning things that were never factual...just gossip and rumors.

Over reaction...hardly...JS thanked me just today for defending him in the fashion that I have on this very forum.

Let us never forget that the tongue (WORDS) hold the power of life and death...but most of the things said about him have not been negative...and I made it clear that the offense is in the few....

I guess it is just a difference of opinion then. I am closely related to someone who has been spoken about on this forum, not always positively. I just know that to him, it is no big deal, he doesn't lose any sleep over it.

He has had many slanderous things said about him over the years, and has learned that one thing that you can never control is what others say about you. All that you can control is your own actions and behavior, and in the end, those things will stand.

Has this gentleman ever started a church? Or does he just move along and take established churches?

And, one other small point...has his wife moved on from high school? Her personality in her blogs doesn't confirm that.

Never met the guy, have heard him speak, but just a couple of curiosities.
