Oh yes...and BTW....there is nothing startling about the message LB preached IMO...just a pastor rallying the church he pastors around his personal position on a Sunday night....happens all the time for sure......

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

What you are asking for is an unchangeable constitution.

That is the death knell of any organization - political or religious (I don't know which label suits us better).
Nice try, raising dues is not exactly an amendment to the constitution.

So, if they couldn't get along then, what should make me think they will not disagree in the future ?? is that a fair question??

anyone want to try their hand at this one ?(or at least give a baptist nod) lol

As hard as it is for some of you more enlightened types to grasp, there are still men in this world who live according to principle and not expediency

I have every confidence that the majority of men staying are acting according to their own set of principles.

Am I missing something here?

The origin of the whole thing was Dora's implication that there had to be some ulterior motive on the part of the men leaving.

That I took issue with.

The motive of the men staying was never questioned. This is why I thought Dizzy's question was so off base.
Brother, I appreciate that you are saying that what I responded to was not what you meant, but if you read what I have highlighted above, you might see why I read that way.

I still feel like it is implied in the way that you worded it, however, I do believe that you didn't mean it that way.
