The modern names for the days of the week also have their origin in old pagan times, and revel the names of Teutonic and Roman deities:
Sunday Sun day
Monday Moon day
Tuesday Tir's day
Wednesday Woden's day
Thursday Thor's day
Friday Frigga's day
Saturday Saturn day
