Guilt by association: Cars. Drunks drive cars. Bank robbers have getaway cars. Ergo, better not drive a car.
It's just stupid.

So, how would it be answered? I have an answer, but nobody here would accept it.

Re: Suits: Guilt By Association
But now the "shave only" group says they have found the reason a man might want to wear a beard.
PRIDE!
So now we must ask the question why would a man want to wear a suit? If we examine the situation as our shave only brethren have examined ours perhaps we MIGHT just find the same answer they found!
PRIDE!
Considering the shady individuals IN THE WORLD SYSTEM who wear suits could these be a desire to be look like THEM?
Does not a SUIT cost more than a shirt? So if a shirt is sufficient to cover a man why would he then need a suit? Did Paul say anything about COSTLY ARRAY?
Yet it SEEMS like suits are quite acceptable to Churches.

If those who wear beards are guilty by association with a minority of the world who also wear beards, then those who wear suits....
It's actually a straightforward syllogism, if I'm not mistaken.

No, not uniforms. Rather, for those who believe in keeping the fourth commandment, we believe we are to "sanctify" the day. One of the ways we do that is by wearing clothing that we don't usually wear throughout the 6 day work week (see Ezekiel 44:19 for an example of the concept). "Sunday best" is a hold over of this concept. So on Sabbath one should wear "festive garments", ie clothing suitable for a "special occasion".
The Sabbath is a "feast" ( Lev 23:2-3), that is, a festival occasion. A festive occasion calls for festive apparel. What one wears is not as important as that one "dress up" in some way for the day. Just like a birthday, a wedding anniversary, Turkey Day, etc, one usually would "dress up" however it may be.
Of course, nowadays, dressing for the occasion seems to be slipping away as more people in society continue to slouch onwards towards mediocrity...

Which of course suggests that if you wear s suit and tie everyday for work, you probably should NOT wear a suit and tie for Sabbath...
