Your analogy is greatly flawed. God's word says that "whosoever" can be saved. It does not say every leader is hand picked by God. He actually let's countries choose their own worthless leaders.

The one inventing the teaching is bound to prove it is found in scripture,not the other way around. Tithe teachers say,"prove scripturally that tithing has been abolished." The burden of proof is on them to demonstrate tithing on money ever was taught in scripture to begin with. God certain can, and probably at times does, intervene in the ascendency of a leader. But I tend to think most of the time we choose our leaders. We certainly should seek God's guidance in doing so.

Ok. I looked through bible and found no scripture to support the idea that every leader is appointed directly by God. Claim proved.
