I've met quite a few "manly men" from Ireland with beards and hairy legs hanging out from kelts, that are far from effeminate. I realize it's traditional. Was just kidding...didn't realize it would offend anyone...at our conventions where we'd meet these guys, they would get picked on a little but weren't offended because it was light humor. I apologize to u. I wouldn't have commented even jokingly if I'd had know it bothered ya.

Wearing a kilt is intrinsically Scottish and Irish.

I think for most, it's all fun and joking. But some actually do call wearing a kilt a pagan custom. It's part of our ethnic heritage, our racial identity.
