There are lots of churches that I don't agree with, but we would not call them from the pulpit. Does any preacher have the right to do this, if he doesn't agree with someone else? Just curious as to if this is common anywhere else.

You ask "why?" Please tell us, what reason do they give for rejecting you?

I don't see what any of this has to do with my original point or post.

More than likely... what other "reason" does a UC need to call out other churches or ministers?

Sherri,
They have been doing it for decades so it isn't a sign of the times...it was just us doing it 30 years ago and now they are doing it to us !

They try and share their faliures in the sense of others have to be compromising to gain success.
Just keep doing what you do and trust the Lord to fight the battles.
If it does get personal towards your husband, yourself or other leadership.
Then maybe a letter to their leadership, board or organization leadership would be appropriate.

It's more than jealousy .... it's a demonic concoction of insecurity, arrogance and "truth' idolatry ... that's jmo.

I remember not being allowed to go to Bro. Kirk's church which was an ALJC church one street over from where we lived. We bussed 3 busses of children out of that neighborhood when they should have all been going to Bro. Kirk's church. Back in the day it was only the UPC folks who were saved and going to heaven. I am glad now to know that there are others going to be there! !

The bad words spoken from a pulpit against another church will not be a God issue.
The words however are taken at face value by many saints.
They take on the attitudes of the minister.
Thus the thought you get what you preach.
If you preach against another church then your church members will continue to talk bad about those folks.
When these ignorant men just need to shut up and do the Lords work in their ministry and church.
That is my point....
