I don't suppose you have a "primitive text" Bible,
by any chance? I'm having some success translating
Hebrew primitive into English, but it's tedious.

Hmm, or maybe "division"
is more to the point.

Hey, I may yet be "converted" there.
As long as no one preaches it as a requirement,
I'm happy.

i believe tounges are a gift. i do not believe in the unbiblical doctrine of initial evidence of tounges.

mark 16:16 declares it as a (a) sign not the only sign. so we are agreement on that

besides language evolves and some languages can be born from nothing. so to say it is some sort of known language is still very broad

purpose of tongues is also stated in the bible. it is to edify oneself. and a tongue and interpretation edifies the body of believers
Hebrew is the language of Angels.

Your quote of "tongues and interpretation edifying a body of believers"
does not need to be anything other than me standing up in church
with a Word in Spanish for some in the audience (when I don't speak Spanish, say),
and someone interpreting it for those who don't speak Spanish.
Naw. TnI are gifts of the Spirit. It's not a gift if you know the language.

nah i would disagree. he would have stated it so.their comon tongue of the day was aramaic, but they would read scriptures in hebrew.

I say many people could speak those two plus greek. So with out any evidence on that i would just have to agree to disagree.
